Vijay Sethupathi-Tamannaah combo again?

Following the grand success of Dharmadurai, Vijay Sethupathi and Tamannaah are likely to share the screen space again. If what we hear from the close sources is believed to be true, then we might see them both romancing again for the film tentatively titled ‘Karuppan’, directed by Panneer Selvam of Renigunta fame. Initially, Trisha was expected to join film, but due to some call sheet issues and her shoot for ‘Garjanai’ on full swing, she couldn’t make it up for the project. On the dot, Vijay Sethupathi’s film had opted to bring in Lakshmi Menon. But just as she was about to sign on the dotted lines, she had gone through some injury on leg that halted her from proceeding ahead. Now producer AM Ratnam and director Panneer Selvam have seemingly approached Tamannaah to play the female lead for this village based entertainer. Nevertheless, the official confirmation hasn’t been made yet and we shall wait for the final word.
