Time for AR Rahman’s ‘Double’ Oscar again
 
It looks like our Tamil soil is all set for yet another biggest harvest and if everything goes well as planned by destiny; AR Rahman will be bringing back two more Oscars for 2017. According to the official announcement by Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, AR Rahman’s ‘Pele: Birth of a Legend’ has gained its place among 145 contenders in the list of Original Score Category following which a song ‘Ginga’ from the same film has taken its way with 91 contenders in Original Song Category. The final list of nomination would be revealed on January 24, 2017 followed the announcement winner titles of 89th Oscar Awards on February 26 at Dolby Theatre. Since it is a biographical film of the world’s most celebrated and inspiring football player Pele, it has already gained a global recognition and so for the musical score of AR Rahman, which would definitely have its best impact in Oscars.
