Priyadarshan reveals the man behind ‘Nimir’ title

National award winning filmmaker Priyadarshan is back in Tamil cinema after a long hiatus through ‘Nimir’. As known earlier, this happens to be a remake of National award winning Malayalam movie ‘Maheshinte Prathikaram’, which starred Fahadh Faasil in lead role. Udhayanidhi Stalin, Namitha Pramod and Parvathy Nair are playing the lead roles in this film, which also features MS Bhaskar, veteran filmmaker Mahendran and Samuthirakani in important characters. While the title of this film has been highly noticed, director Priyadarshan reveals the person, who actually finalized the title. “I had long desired to work as assistant to Mahendran sir, but it didn’t happen. But now I am happy that he is a part of my movie. After narrating the entire script, Mahendran sir instantly said that ‘Nimir’ would be an apt title for this film,” says Priyadarshan. Nimir will be hitting screens on January 26 for the Republic Day weekend.
