Manirathnam’s Kaatru Veliyidai-Theri’ connection

Ladakh has been the most intriguing dream destination for anyone across the planet and it’s a long run dream for anyone to make at least once in a lifetime trip there. Preferably, it becomes a lucky factor for some of the film crews as they would have their songs or sequences shot there. It was initially Aamir Khan’s 3 Idiots that were shot there at the exotic backdrops of Ladakh. Well, it isn’t a beautiful place to relish upon, but it has its own speculations of being the toughest place to travel there. Now Maniratnam along with the crew involving Karthi and Aditi Rao Hydari of ‘Kaatru Veliyidai’ have flown down to the same location to shoot some of the important sequences in the film. The first leg of shoot happened in Ooty followed by a weeklong schedule in Chennai and now they are tented up at Ladakh. It is worth mentioning that the climax of Vijay’s Theri was shot there at the same locales of Ladakh.
