Kollywood gets crowded with December releases

Kollywood has been getting through its course of having big releases over the past couple of months, which continues into December as well. In this exclusive article from Studio Flicks, we bring you the look on tentative and confirmed releases for this season.

The first film to affirm its release for December is Vijay Sethupathi starrer ‘Seethakaathi’, which was initially scheduled for release on November 16 and is eventually postponed to December 20 for the festive occasion of Christmas. Dhanush will be soon making his strong confirmation about getting the worldwide theatrical release of “Maari 2’ on December 21 as well. Initially, Karthi-Rakul Preet Singh starrer ‘Dev’ was supposed to get released for the same occasion, but is now likely postponed to January 2019. The other release to be postponed to early 2019 happens to Nayanthara starrer ‘Airaa’, which is directed by Sarjun K. On the other hand, Vishnu Vishal’s Silukkuvarpatti Singam is also scheduled officially for December 21.

Although the makers of ‘Adanga Maru’ have confirmed that the movie will be a December release, the date is yet to be finalized.
