Bigg Boss Julie plays dual role in Amman Thaayi

Tamil cinema has always remained synonymous towards making movies based on Goddess Amman. After a long hiatus, the genre is coming back to Tamil cinema that is a mix of religious and societal concept. Bigg Boss Julie will be playing dual roles in this film as heroine and Goddess Amman in this movie. Newcomer Anbu is playing the lead role and debutant Saran is essaying the villain’s character. The director duo Maheshwaran-Chandra Haasan are producing and directing this film apart from writing story, screenplay and dialogues.

“Usually the films based on this concept would be about a strong confrontation that happens between Goddess Amman and the baddies, who try to control her power,” says the directors and how it has been modified to the contemporary situation forms a major part of the screenplay.

Speaking about Bigg Boss Julie, they say, “Initially, Julie being a Christian girl was quite reluctant to sign up for the role of Goddess Amman. But after the photo shoot with her looks completely befitting, she decided to be a part of this film. She completely became a Hindu by fasting before taking up the role. The way she has performed dancing in furiousness as Amman to destroy the baddies has been shot very well.”

Vignesh is handling cinematography for this film with Dedrick-Karthik-Raj composing music for the film.
