Vivegam Music Review
After three single tracks that struck us with immense sensation, here comes the entire album of Vivegam. The film is directed by Siva and is produced by Sathya Jyothi Films with Ajith Kumar, Vivek Oberoi, Kajal Aggarwal and Akshara Haasan in lead roles. Anirudh has composed music and Vetri has handled cinematography.
Surviva
Singers: Yogi B and Mali Manoj
The song became the ultimate Midas-touch to the entire film’s expectations. A thundering start that rolled on as a single track release and Yogi B just swayed up with his electrifying performance. No words! The song is already on the list of everyone’s favourite tracks. This isn’t just about the ‘Ajith Kumar’ factor, but for the inspiring lyrics.
Thalai Viduthalai
Singers: Harish Swaminathan
The second single track was yet more power pumping that took Ajith fans to the most exhilarating moments. The song based on heavy metal might have not let the listeners to grasp the lyrics at first, but with repeated hearing made us all awestruck. Moreover, to watch the workout sequences as montages in lyric video pulled off high level celebrations.
Kadhalaada
Singers: Pradeep Kumar and Shashaa Tripathi
This song came as a surprise single track as the erstwhile ones completely catered to the massively addicted fans. A beautiful mellisonant track that encompasses the beauty of exchanging emotions between spouses. A well written song by Kabilan Vairamuthu and not to miss the instrumentals that imbibes us completely. The rendition by Pradeep Kumar and Shashaa Tripathi are heavenly and turns us addictive.
AK Theme Music (Ready to Rage)
The opening bits of music have a unique flavour that starts off slow and suddenly transits into a much thunderstorm impact. The distorted guitars, slightest picks of classical touch as fill ins and percussions just make it an overpowering number. Can’t wait to witness the  visuals that comes tagged with this track and that will definitely take it to next level.
Veriyera
Singers: Poorvi Koutish and MM Manasi
A highly temperamental track that could be regarded as the town’s best motivational number for this season… The lyrical lines speak about a man’s extremity in overcoming hurdles to break down the hassles for redemption. It looks like this would be a montage visual that might depict Ajith Kumar’s workout and journey of battle across the forests and snows that we see in the teaser. Poorvi Koutish and MM Manasi just add up the stunning impact to this number.
Kadhalaada (Reprise)
Singers: Pooja, Anirudh Ravichander, Narmatha and Shashaa Tirupati
Wow! This is purely romantic. No songs in the recent times have been of such emotional connecting. Ages of AR Rahman’s virgin musicals from his 90s, this one captivates us completely. Although, the previous version has its own panache, this one carries a much mellifluous impact.
Never Give Up
Singer: Rajakumari
The song of such paradigm has been a piece of cake for Anirudh, who offers English tracks in most of his favourite albums. This one is purely with an International touch that has medium paced treatment. Yet again, the track has lots of plethora of inspiring songs and this one is no exception. Rajakumari appeals with her rendition that in many places, we get to sense the traces of Lady Kash and Krissy. The sound mixing is definitely one of the most stunning features here.
After listening to the whole album of Vivegam, it is evident that the film will not have any songs separately. But except ‘Kadhalaada’, rest of the tracks might appear as background score. Anirudh has composed the songs completely catering to the tastes of Ajith Kumar fans.
