In this series, Durai Singam has been assigned to investigate the murder of a police commissioner in Andhra. During the investigation, he finds that the criminals are much more bigger than what he expects. It makes him to take the route against an international company which dumps global waste illegally in Visakhapatnam.
Suriya as majestic cop Durai Singam, he carries the role with ease. Delivers a power packed performance from start to end. His screen presence lifts the film. Mannerism and body language is perfect. Only Suriya can justify the Singam role. We are looking forward to see Durai Singam more.
Anushka Shetty has finally promoted to wife, Yes it has happened. She has put on weight which is visible clearly. Shruthi Hasan’s role is very much similar to the one Hansika played in Singam 2. She has done her portions well. Heroines are used more in song sequences.
Usually in Hari movie, we find too many supporting characters and there is no exception in this film. Soori, Robo Shankar and Imman Annachi for comedy portions, which didn’t work in favor of the movie. Good to see Sarath Babu after a long gap. Thakur Anoop Singh in antagonist role, his muscular body is a plus. Other cast includes Nithin Sathya, Krish, Radhika, Radharavi, Nasser and Sandra.
Harris Jayaraaj has composed the music. One melody song is nice ‘Mudhal Murai…’. Other songs fail to stick to our mind. Background music is too loud such that at one instance we feel like closing our ears for a while. Editing and camera work needs to be appreciated, especially editing is terrific. Kudos to V Y Vijayan and T S Jay. Action scenes could have been choreographed better.
Director Hari who is famous for crafting commercial films with fast paced screenplay has just delivered the same. Dialogues are in top notch. Story is pretty old, there are no twists or turns. Few more interesting scenes would been made a huge difference. Films moves very fast. Screenplay doesn’t allow the audience to take rest even for a second.
Highlights of the film are Suriya’s stunning performance, powerful dialogues and fast paced editing. Music and comedy portions are let down. Overall, What exactly we expect from the Singam franchise has been delivered with no compromise. A Pakka commercial package.
