There’s some generic about love stories, they don’t need a significant plot to keep you engrossed, just some realistic reflections would push you into their world. It has happened in time with some flicks and now does Pyaar Prema Kaadhal join this league?

Exhibited as a fresh and breezy Rom-Com laced with perkiness and emotions, the film’s expectation levels have been prominently on its highest degree. Of course, with Yuvan Shankar Raja’s splendiferous songs and sizzling onscreen couple – Harish Kalyan and Raiza Wilson adding up more ingredients, the teen audiences take their drive straight into the theatres for this film.

The premise is simple and can be regarded as a hackneyed one indeed. It’s about the episodes in the life of a boy from middle class family and a ultra-trendy cosmopolitan girl. Hailing from different walks of life, their ideologies and perspectives about love and relationship too vary. Director Elan nurtures this simple plot with engrossing stuffs here and there.

Perhaps, there’s no need to go for the best cherry-picks out here with Pyaar Prema Kadhal. In fact, it’s been something well known even from its initial phase of filmmaking. The Bigg Boss contestants – Harish Kalyan and Raiza Wilson and the musical icing of romantic cake – Yuvan Shankar Raja turned the spotlights upon this film.

This is a kind of film, where you can’t pick up particular scene to ennoble the proficiency of lead actors. Since their characterizations are substantially sketched, it sticks to our minds heavily rather than analysing it. There are some places, especially during second hour, where the screenplay goes slightly hampered with slow moments. But these lead performances – Harish and Raiza carry it elegantly.

Technically, everything is nailed at right terms. Raja Bhattacharya splashes up lots of colours and his coordination with art director Thyagarajan is pretty appreciable. Top of all, Yuvan Shankar Raja’s musical score for songs are amazing, but BGM slightly sticks to mediocre graph in few places.

On the whole, Pyaar Prema Kaadhal is a passable fare for its treatment of technical elements in addition to the enjoyable drama.
