Pushpa 2: The Rule Movie Review
Following the grand success of Pushpa: The Rise, actor Allu Arjun and Sukumar are back with the sequel titled ‘Pushpa 2: The Rule’, which has been produced at a grand scale. The film doesn’t have any new actors, except Jagapathy Babu, and most of them are retained from the first part.
The film’s plot is just the continuation of first part, where Pushpa has reached the heights he wanted to, but isn’t willing to give up his tug of war with inspector Shekawat (Fahadh Faasil), and so is the latter. On the other hand, his step-brothers and family haven’t reconciled with him. While dealing with all these conflicts, Pushpa has to lock horns with the country’s PM for some personal reasons.
Director Sukumar has never failed elevating the stature of Allu Arjun, and he does the same again with this film. Pushpa 2 – The Rule starts off on a promising note, with perfect intro tailor-made for fans, and yes, there are many sequences that are gripping, but if the length was slightly trimmed, it would have created more impact. Allu Arjun’s performance is extraordinary, and he has really worked hard and given his best. Rashmika Mandanna scenes are okay. Fahadh Faasil has done his part well. The best moments in the film are interval point followed by 2-3 scenes in post-interval phase. Especially, the Jaathra song and fight sequence is very well choreographed. The pre-climax portion of brothers and family getting reunited has been neatly written.
Songs aren’t as best as the first part, but the BGM score by Sam C.S. is very well done. Cinematography and editing are neatly done.
On the whole, ‘Pushpa 2: The Rule’ is a fantastic treat for fans, and it’s watchable despite the length.
