Eeswaran Music Review
Finally, the wait is over and the much awaited album of this year is out. STR’s Eeswaran album is out now that comprises 4 tracks. Here is our exclusive musical analysis of the songs. The film is directed by Susienthiran with Nidhi Aggarwal playing the female lead and Bharathiraja appearing in an important character.
Thamizhan Paattu
Singers: Ananthu, Deepak Blue
Lyrics: Yugabharathi
The song captured everyone’s interest by the first time we heard it. Although the lyrical clarity wasn’t very much perfect for the first time, it eventually gained our attention by the following times we heard it. The song will have its impact while watching it on big screens. The lyrics are quite commendable.
Eeswaran Title Track
Singers: Deepak Blue, Aravind Srinivas
Lyrics: Yugabharathi
There’s always an issue while listening to the songs of Thaman as it gives a ‘noisy’ impression during the first few times we hear it. The scenario is as same as the first track. The only convincing point is the fast beat track, which can assure some fast steps from the actor. Although the lyrics are simple, it sounds befittingly perfect for the star STR.
Chellakutty
Singers: Silambarasan TR, Roshini JKV
Lyrics: Yugabharathi
The initial moments of the song gives an impression of listing to STR’s yesteryear song ‘Kaathaaga’ from the movie ‘Idhu Namma Aalu’. STR’s vocalism is as usual the same and there’s a sort of attention gain with it. On the other hand, Roshini JKV’s voice works out well and it’s in fact, a different toast from STR-Roshini, who had earlier rendered a fast-beat Kuthu number ‘Pottu Thaaku’ few years ago. The lyrics are just okay.
Velli Nilavu
Singer: ML Gayathri
Lyrics: Yugabharathi
The only cherry-pick of the album for this moment! Velli Nilavu is something out of the box of Thamman’s musical score. The voice gets so much of clarity and so are the lyrics. It sounds like a Montage song and will be definitely be enjoyed with the visuals. One of the magical elements of the song is Gayathri’s honeyed vocalism, which easily travels through any octaves and pitch at an ease.
Overall, ‘Eeswaran’ has all the elements of a successful commercial album. For the moment, it’s Thamizhan Pattu and Velli Nilavu that instantly grabs our attention. The other two songs might have an attraction with the visuals. However, when compared to a massive Chartbuster like ‘Ala Vaikunthapuram Lo’, Thaman stays half a mile away and stops with Eeswaran here.
