Darbar Music Review

The wait is over and it’s been a pretty long stretch of expectations drawing out. Finally, the first single ‘Chumma Kizhi’ from Darbar has been launched, where we get to see a trademark paradigm of Superstar Rajinikanth style. Anirudh has made lots of changes in his approach from his erstwhile album with Rajinikanth in ‘Petta’. One of the best examples is that he doesn’t use the theme music as in Petta for the whole song (Kaali Theme used in Marana Mass).

What’s the other highlighting trait about the song is lyrics by Vivek, who emphasizes an amazing work by giving lyrics appropriately tailored for Rajinikanth. While the initial verses are about the mass worship of the hero, the second verses come up as a message as in routine Rajinikanth songs, which are in fact inspiring. More than all, the song crooned by none other than SP Balasubramaniam brings us the versatile style of Thalaivar introduction numbers.
