Anegan Songs Review

After the Hat-trick hit from Harris Jayaraj with KV Anand, they come up again with another one, Anegan starring Dhanush,Amyra Dastur in the lead role.

1) DangaMaari Oodhaari
Lyrics : Rokesh
Singers : Dhanush | Marana Gana Viji | Naveen Madhav

A North Madras Gana song with Dhanush and Marana Gana Vij. Though the rhythm resembles Venam Machan bit, usage of trumpets and Nadaswaram gives the enough tapping. After the tune down in the middle, nadaswaram slow beat gives a nice break and then again gearing up is a good technique.

2) Roja Kadale
Lyrics: ‘Padma Bhushan’ Vairamuthu
Singers : Shankar Mahadevan | Chinmayi Sripada | Sunidhi Chauhan

A powerful beat melody with shankar clear open voice. Rhythmic lines from vairamuthu “kadale, Magalae, Kaniye, Thaniyae” , “Thunaiyae, Maniyae, Uyirae, Arugae” jelled well with Harris high template beats. Beginning stanza and the next follows the same rhythm and the concluding one with little change, finally it make us to think that same rhythm repeats from start to end.

3) Aathadi Aathadi
Lyrics : ‘Padma Bhushan’ Vairamuthu
Singers : Bhavatharani | Tipu | Dhanush | Abhay Jodhpurk

A simple, straight forward slow lovable melody in bhavaratharni lead voice. It is like a group of famous singers just sing a casual bit on the go and give us a peaceful relaxing song to hear.

4) YOLO – You Only Live Once
Lyrics : C. S. Amudhan
Singers : Shal Hada | Ramya NSK | Richard | MC Vickey & Eden

An experimental song from Harris with SING ALONG chrous category.
Initial music itself a attractive one for a instant like and the YOLO rhythm make us to sing along. Amudhan witty lyrics make the song trendy and inbetween song goes to foreign album and Ramya brings back with her breezy voice.

5) Thodu Vaanam
Lyrics : ‘Padma Bhushan’ Vairamuthu
Singers : Hariharan | Shakthishree Gopalan

A solo male lead with usual Harris magic. Chrous portions very nice to hear and the high pitch interlude in the middle of a slow number is cleverly used and then back slowly to rhythm. After the tune down, voice without bgm and then the BGM with the same rhythm, awesome to hear.

6) Deivangal Ingae
Lyrics : Kabilan Vairamuthu
Singers : Sriram Parthasarathy

Another instant hit song while you hear first time. Initial jingle itself a breezy one and sriram voice and chorous make it a very good composition to say it least. A short one yet the powerful one from the album. At the end, more than half of the song, goes in humming and sounds make it a unique one.
