Things get beyond the levels of high Expectations and excitements when the duo involving Trivikram Srinivas and Pawan Kalyan come together. Agnyaathavaasi had kept us so much hooked up with lots of high level anticipations for this big day and finally it is released all over the world in grandeur. The film features Keerthi Suresh and Anu Emmanuel in female lead role with Aadhi, Sampath, Tanikella Bharani, Vennela Kishore and Jayaprakash in important roles.
Boman Irani, the proprietor of AB Group of Industries and his son brutally murdered in a mysterious way. When the antagonist (Aadhi) is all set to get control over the entire empire of AB industries, the second wife (Kushboo) of Boman Irani sends his heir (Pawan Kalyan) to tackle the situation and settle scores with revenge and prove that he is the heir to Boman Irani.
The script actually holds strong emotional connect, which would have been much more enthralling with fast paced moments
When this duo comes together, the expectations would probably be all about the commercial ingredients that will keep audiences embedded with mixed emotions. But what turns out to be a slightest disappointment over here is that the film lacks raciness. There are lots of unwanted sequences involved in the movie, which should have been avoided. Especially the first half of the movie is too lengthy with running length of 90 minutes. While everyone keeps their fingers crossed that the second half would be much more engrossing, it yet again turns out to be sluggish in many portions. There are few moments like Sampath unveiling the secret behind the identity of Pawan Kalyan within his team. Even the flashback sequences involving Boman Irani are completely emotional. The script actually holds strong emotional connect, which would have been much more enthralling with fast paced moments. Nevertheless, it doesn’t holders intact in many places. Couple of things that actually saves the film is obviously the screen presence of Pawan Kalyan and musical score by Anirudh. The song have been very well composed, it feels to get into the right placement which should have been the major concern of director and screenwriter. But the background score is completely new and fresh that gets highly noticed.
Agnyaathavaasi doesn’t disappoint you but at the same time doesn’t stand up to your expectations
Rest of the actors in the movie don’t get substantial characterizations. Some of them turn out to be incomplete and others quiet flimsy. Kushboo has done a perfect performance alongside Boman Irani. However, Keerthy Suresh and Anu Emmanuel have nothing to do other than being dull headed missies.
On the whole, Agnyaathavaasi doesn’t disappoint you but at the same time doesn’t stand up to your expectations. It should have been more like a racy thriller than being a slow paced drama.
