Most farmers in a drought-ridden village have sold their lands to pursue other means of income, and there has been no harvest for many years. A series of unfortunate events force the villagers to conduct a traditional ritual to the village deity, with paddy from the first harvest of the season. to be cooked in a freshly made mud pot. They seek the help of Maayandi, the only farmer in that village, who has been diligently tending to his piece of ancestral land. A wrong accusation puts Maayandi on a criminal trial for poaching. The villagers must now become farmers again, with the aid of Maayandi's wisdom and harvest his land.

A gang uses hidden cameras to take videos of women during their private time and blackmail them. Many women commit suicide due to the threat of this gang. Police starts to investigate the suicides.
