Samuthirakani, born on April 26, 1973, in Seithur, Rajapalayam, Tamil Nadu, India, is a distinguished figure in the Indian film industry, known for his multifaceted contributions as an actor, director, and writer. He embarked on his cinematic journey with a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and a law degree, but his passion for the arts led him to pursue a career in film.
Starting as an assistant director under the tutelage of K. Balachander, Samuthirakani gained valuable experience that would later shape his directorial ventures. His breakthrough came with the film “Naadodigal” in 2009, which not only won critical acclaim but also saw remakes in multiple languages.
