Arulnithi Tamilarasu is an Indian film actor who works mainly in the Tamil film industry. He belongs to a prominent political family of Tamil Nadu, but he has no interest in politics. He is the grandson of former Chief Minister M. Karunanidhi and the son of M. K. Tamilarasu. His cousins are well-known producers Udhayanidhi Stalin and Dhayanidhi Alagiri.
Arulnithi was born on 21 July 1987 in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. He completed his schooling at St. Michael’s Academy in Chennai and his graduation at Loyola College, Chennai. He then pursued his higher studies at Pondicherry University and Middlesex University. He married Keerthana on 7 June 2015 and they have two children, a son named Magizhan and a daughter.
Arulnithi made his acting debut in 2010 with the film Vamsam, directed by Pandiraj. He played a young man who shies away from the politics of his village, despite pressure to avenge his father’s death. The film was a commercial success and received positive reviews.
Arulnithi is known for choosing different types of roles and scripts that are content-oriented. He has been nominated for several awards, including the Vijay Award for Best Debut Actor for Vamsam and the Edison Award for Best Actor for Mouna Guru. He is currently working on several projects, including Diary, Dejavu, Sinam and K-13.
