Will Mani Ratnam’s Ponniyin Selvan reveal the untouched mystery in the original book?

Filmmaker Mani Ratnam’s Ponniyin Selvan Part 1 is all set for the worldwide theatrical release on September 30, 2022, and the second part is tentatively planned for summer 2023 release. While the expectations have sky-rocketed for the movie, the avid fans of the original book written by Kalki are yet more excited to see how Mani Ratnam has materialized the epic book.

However, there’s a mystery in the book of Ponniyin Selvan, where Kalki refrained from revealing who actually kills Aditha Karikalan (played by Vikram). The entire portion remains veiled by Kalki due to some reasons.

Although there are many characters inside the room during the mishap, the book doesn’t focus into that. Precisely, we need to wait and watch if Mani Ratnam has modified the movie according to his version.
