Why Nibunan is not pure Sherlock Holmes style?
When we say something about ‘Detective Thrillers’, the first thing that comes to our very mind is the British work ‘Sherlock Holmes’. Over here, we find that the protagonist along with his paisano is always engaged in solving mysteries and here Arun Vaidyanathan’s Nibunan was expected to be of such paradigms. But surprisingly, Arun comes up adding that it isn’t a blunt detective story, but will have the equal shares of entertaining elements like peck of humour in many places. Moreover, the lead actors here – Arjun, Prasanna and others will have their personal spaces with families established. There are three songs in the film and this gets us puzzled up whether it could be routine commercial potboilers, where songs hamper the screenplay. But then Arun Vaidyanathan clears off our assumptions saying that they are montage songs and will not be a dream sequence.
