Filmmaker Vetrimaaran took a long hiatus post Aadukalam and had involved in the scripting of few films. He made his directorial comeback with the film ‘Visaranai’ that stars Attakathi Dinesh, Kayal fame Anandhi and Samuthirakani in lead roles. The film is based on shocking realities that happened in Tamil Nadu before few years, where the whole story is about the unaccounted interrogations and tortures faced by persons.

The film has already garnered good results in international film festivals and has paved way for red carpets in theatres as well. The official announcement was made that the film will be hitting screens on December 31.
