Cinematographer-turned-filmmaker Velraj seems to be the busiest bee in showbiz now. There are many instances, where the personalities with dichotomous potentials don’t attempt for two avatars at same time. But Velraj is a blunt illustration as he seems to be simultaneously cranking camera and wielding the megaphone for different projects at the same time. Landing up with herculean efforts on red carpets that were spread out for his maiden directorial ‘Velai Illa Pattadhaari’, Velraj instantly handled cinematography for Karthi’s Komban, which is getting ready for release on April 2.

While the crew of VIP is all set to kick-start its next outing from tomorrow in Chennai, Velraj is simultaneously handling cinematography the untitled next of Vishal-Suseenthiran project produced by Vendhar Movies. Even his very own assistant directors are in state of astonishment witnessing his vigorous energy. When asked about the buzzes that claim the film’s title as VIP 2, Velraj denies them to be baseless rumour; nevertheless, the basic plot would be inspiringly appealing as VIP.

The film stars Samantha and Amy Jackson in female lead and Anirudh has already completed couple of songs. First leg of shooting will be held from March 20 to April 8 in Chennai following which Velraj will be joining the sets of Vishal’s untitled film to crank camera.
