Vijay Sethupathi-Shruthi Haasan ‘Laabam’ based on Sterlite issue?

Makkal Selvan Vijay Sethupathi and Shruthi Haasan are coming together for the film ‘Laabam’. The film is produced by Vijay Sethupathi Productions in collaboration with Aarumuga Kumar’s 7C Entertainment. Filmmaker SP Jananathan had earlier worked with Vijay Sethupathi in the film ‘Purampokku Engira Podhuvudamai’.

The duo is coming together again for the film ‘Laabam’ that was launched yesterday in Chennai. It is learnt through the close sources that the film is based on how the corporate companies are swindling up the wealth and properties in our society. In particular, it looks like there is a sequence involving the Sterlite issues.
