The most awaited title announcement of Vijay – Chimbu Deven project is made today and it is “Puli”. After the blockbuster Kaththi, Vijay’s 58th film news was floating with huge expectations. This time Vijay joined with Chimbu Deven who has few hit films like ‘23aam Pulikesi, Irumbu Kottai Murattu Singham and Oru Kanniyum Moonu Kalavanihalum” in his kitty. “Puli” is touted to be a fantasy film, a new genre in Vijay’s career. Heroines are Hanskia and Shruti Haasan. Shruti pairs with Vijay for the first time while Hansika has already acted in Velayudham with Ilayathalapathy Vijay. Sridevi and Sudeep are playing an important roles. Music is composed by Devi Sri Prasad who joins with Vijay for third time after super hit Sachin and Villu. Music lovers can expect a chart-buster.

“Puli” is jointly produced by Vijay’s PRO Selvakumar and famous Kerala distributor Shibu.K.Thameen. Cinematography by Natty – ‘Sathuranga Vettai’ hero and editing by Kasi Vishwanathan. Film will show Vijay in dual avatar, after Azhagiya Tamil Magan and Kaththi. The team began filming on November 2014 at the Adityaram Studios on the ECR, Chennai where a song featuring Vijay and Hansika Motwani was shot in a set replicating a castle put up by art director, Muthuraj. Second schedule is ON and shooting is going on in brisk pace. Few titles which were already rumoured are Puli, Maaresan and Maru dheeran.
