Vetrimaaran reveals the plans of Vada Chennai prequel

National award winning filmmaker Vetrimaaran collaborated with Dhanush for the third time with Vada Chennai. The film that was released before couple of weeks has been getting the best of its results among critics and general audiences as well. Even before the release of the film, Vetrimaaran had admitted that he got very much fascinated towards the characterisation of ‘Rajan’ (played by Ameer Sultan in the film).

In one of his recent interactions, Vetrimaaran has said that he would like to stretch the character of Rajan from his childhood to how he became the most celebrated saviour and gangster of the region. He has even affirmed that the title would ‘Rajan Vaigara’. But he mentions that the prequel could be made a web series on digital platform.

Meanwhile, Vetrimaaran has confirmed that his next with Dhanush will be based on the famous novel ‘Vekkai’, which revolves around the confrontations between an oppressed community rising to put down its oppressors.
