Venkat Prabhu’s sudden shift to baddie now

Venkat Prabhu has been consistently directing movies and in the recent times, we have been seeing him perform some roles with substantial shades. The director-actor is now signed to play an evil baddie in the film ‘Kalavu’ that stars Kalaiyarasan and Abhirami Iyer in lead roles with Pandiarajan playing an important character.

Murali Karthick, director of this film utters that it was not an easy thing to pull him onboard and that Venkat Prabhu was literally doubtful whether audiences would accept him in the role of a baddie as they have often related him with humour. The team happened to show some rushes they shot and he was pretty impressed with the footages and understood the depth of his characterization, which landed him onto this project.
