Dhanush’s upcoming film Velai illa Pattadhaari is set to release on July 18. The film is directed by cinematographer Velraj. Amla Paul plays the female lead, Ethirneechal Sathish, Samuthirakani,shurabi and Saranya are the other important casts. VIP is 25th film for Dhanush and his Wunderbar films takes care of production. Music of VIP is composed by Anirudh Ravichander and songs were released 14th February and are declared chart busters.

VIP trailer was released last month and became huge hit. Millions of views in Youtube and appreciations gets pouring for Dhanush which also increases the expectation of the film.Recent news is that the film is censored with U certificate and all set to release on July 18 in large number of screens all over the world. Running time of the film is 2 hours 13 minutes. Along with VIP, another film Sathuranga Vettai is also getting released on the same day.
