Mega Prince Varun Tej is set to make his grand Pan India debut with “Matka,” a high-budget film directed by Karuna Kumar and produced by Dr Vijender Reddy Teegala and Rajani Thalluri under Vyra Entertainments and SRT Entertainments. Currently in production in Hyderabad, the film promises a lavish scale and a unique narrative.

The first look of “Matka” showcases Varun in two distinct avatars: a youthful underdog and a mature, affluent overlord. The poster hints at a 24-year journey of the protagonist, featuring four different looks. The dual images depict Varun’s transformation from a young, intense figure to a seasoned, authoritative persona, complete with vintage styling and a gun on his table. The King card from a deck of playing cards serves as a symbolic backdrop, suggesting themes of power and strategy.

Varun’s role in “Matka” is anticipated to resonate with his fans, marking a return to characters that highlight his versatility and charisma. The film also stars Meenakshi Chaudhry and Nora Fatehi, with a narrative set against a historical backdrop. Cinematography is handled by A Kishor Kumar, music by GV Prakash Kumar, and editing by Karthika Srinivas R.
