Urumeen is an upcoming movie that has Jigarthanda fame ‘Bobby Simha’ in the lead and ‘Madras’ fame Kalaiarasan playing the negative role. Rashmi Menon is the heroine. The movie is an action thriller based on various economic crimes and investigations that happened between 1990 – 2014 in Tamilnadu.Other actors who plays important role in the film are Appukutty, Kalivenkat and Manobala. Urumeen is produced by G.Dillibabu’s Axis Film Factory and written & directed by Sakthivel Perumal Saamy. Achu has composed the music and Ravindranath Guru takes care of cinematography.

The team has already finished shooting in locations like Chennai, Puducherry, Kerala and Myanmar. The unit says that recently they shot the climax of the film in a dense forest in Kerala where usually permission is not given to shoot films. The film is having its post production phase now and will be ready for a release in May 2015. Team is planning to release the teaser by last week of January 2015.While talking about the title, Simha said ‘Urumeen is a kind of fish, and some of its prominent characteristics will be reflected in the film.’ All the best to the team
