Chennai floods had apparently stalled the releases of many expected movies like Rajini Murugan, Eeti and few more to add up, nevertheless, the makers of ‘Urumeen’ managed to release the movie despites the situation. Although, the film wasn’t released in many theatres of Chennai, Pondicherry in accordance to the heavy flood, it has managed to gain some decent response in theatres across other parts of India.
The film has been released at 320 theatres in India and filmmaker Sakthivel Perumalsamy, who was present along with the crew at KG Theatre in Coimbatore for the promotions, mentioned that the film has witnessed decorous opening. “I wanted to make a film set in the backdrops of city and entirely shot the project across Chennai, Pondicherry and Kerala,” said Sakthivel Perumalsamy. Others from the team including Bobby Simha was present for the promotions in Coimbatore as well.
