Did Rajinikanth seek Suriya’s permission for Siva’s project?

Superstar Rajinikanth and Siva teaming up for a film was something we had earlier reported even before the official announcement was made. Apparently, there are some buzzes doing rounds that Suriya was supposed to work with Siva for the film tentatively titled ‘Suriya 39’ produced by K.E. Gnanavel Raja. However, it seems that Rajinikanth had personally called up Suriya and requested if he can first do the film with Siva in a span of four months, for which the ‘Soorarai Pottru’ actor accepted.

It’s so nice to hear such good things and congeniality among the actors as industry friends. It is worth mentioning that things were earlier same with Kichcha Sudeep, who sacrificed his dates for the sake of Rajinikanth’s Lingaa followed by Karthi for Pa Ranjith when he signed ‘Kabali’.
