Kalaipuli S Thanu, president of Tamil Film Producers Council, has issued an official press release stating that all film shoots will be cancelled indefinitely until the stand off with FEFSI (Film Employees Federation of South India) over wage issues ceases.
FEFSI has been suddenly demanding an increase in wages over the past three days and threatening to protest against TFPC. “This sudden has shocked all the producers. There was no prior intimation too. Hence, we are cancelling all shootings until the issues are sorted out,” says Thanu in his statement.
FEFSI Chief Siva is likely to hold talks with the members of the union and TFPC today and an amicable solution is expected.
