“Suriya didn’t like the script I narrated” – Gautham Vasudev Menon
It was quite a disappointing moment when the most happening friends in the industry Gautham Vasudev Menon and Suriya expressed their differences through letters by their respective spokespersons. The duo had offered some commendable movies like Kaakha Kaakha and Vaaranam Aayiram and they had decided to come together for a film titled ‘Dhruva Natchathiram’, which was dropped after the movie launch. Although the blatant reason behind the delay wasn’t revealed by both ends, Gautham Vasudev Menon opened upon the real fact saying, “Actually the problem was that Suriya didn’t like the script I narrated. When I narrated the whole story, he told me it looks like a English movie and suggested me let us do a Tamil film first. But I tried to convince him saying that it is the right time to do such an English film in Tamil, which didn’t happen finally.”
