STR becomes ETHI for Mani Ratnam’s Chekka Chivantha Vaanam

This has been the day that STR fans had been curiously awaiting. In fact, their anticipations streaked from the initial stage of this project. Finally, the first look and character name of STR in Chekka Chivantha Vaanam has been unveiled. It all reads that he is ETHI in CCV while Rudra in the Telugu version ‘Nawab’.

According to the sources, there are couple of assumptions about the film’s premise. One of them says that STR is an engineer in Dubai and his elder brother Varadhan (Arvind Swami) iis a gangster. Arun Vijay as Thyagu has an intense enmity with him, which urges Ethi (STR) to get into the action. But none of them know that they are puppet in the hands of Rasool (Vijay Sethupathi), a police officer.

On the other end, there is another buzz claiming that Varadhan, Thyagu and Ethi are brothers and they have an issue with Rasool visa vi a police officer. Prakash Raj and Jayasudha are reported to be playing the parents of these three sons.

These are just the hearsays, which isn’t a substantial one. But let us wait and watch out for what’s there for real in the store.
