SPB renders a song for Karthi’s DEV

It has become a boon to the entire unit of ‘DEV’ featuring Karthi and Rakul Preet Singh in lead roles. While the producer of this film S Lakshman of Prince Pictures celebrated his birthday (October 30), yesterday, Harris Jayaraj, music director of this film offered him a gift by bringing the veteran singer SP Balasubramaniam to croon a song. This is the first ever time, Karthi is getting one of the country’s most celebrated singer for his track. While Kabilan has written lyrics for this song, it is worth recalling that Harris Jayaraj had SP Balasubramaniam crooning a song for the first time in his career for ‘Yemma Yemma’ in 7Am Arivu, which had Suriya in lead role. The same lyricist Kabilan had penned the lyrics and now it’s a coincidence to see that SPB-Harris-Kabilan combo comes together for younger brother Karthi.

Rajat Ravishankar is wielding megaphone for this film, which has Prakash Raj, Ramya Krishnan, RJ Vignesh in important roles with Navarasa Nayagan Karthik and Nikki Galrani appearing in important roles.
