Santhanam is still busy comedian in KTown. He has now signed the deal to play the lead role of   Telugu remake, Maryada Ramanna.

He will reprise the role of actor Sunil that was directed by SS Rajamouli in Telugu. Tamil remake rights is snapped by PVP Cinemas with Director Srikanth, who had wielded the megaphone for Muththirai will be helming the affairs, say sources.

The Telugu version of the film is touted to be a wholesome family entertainer, which made gud biz in box office too. Adding to the Tamil remake, it has also been remade in BTown too as Son of Sardar feat Ajay Devgn and Sonakshi Sinha in lead roles.

Rest of cast and crew will revealed before the flick goes on floor from August.
