The Thuppakki hit combo Vijay and Murugadoss has prompted the makers and the distributors of Kaththi to make a bigger outing, looks like its already gearing up as a blockbuster. Vijay’s biggest release Kaththi will get release in record number of theaters worldwide on Oct 22.

India : 

Kerala is well known as Vijay’s fort, his previous Jilla was released in around 200 screens. Sources say that Kaththi is also getting released in 200+ screens in Kerala, many screens have already signed up with Thameens on very attractive terms. Team is planning to release telugu dubbed version in AndraPradesh along with original version. In Tamil Nadu Kaththi will get more than 400 screens and that is pretty obvious. Film sets-up another record in Coimbatore area, releases in more than 80 screens. Previous highest was 75 for Veeram.

Overseas :

Kaththi will be screened across a massive number of over 70 Cinemas and more than 90 screens in UK alone. MM Media, earlier known as GK Media that released Arrambam for last Diwali will release Kaththi this Diwali in association with Lyca in USA. Target was set to 105 screens for Kaththi to beat Kochadaiyaan’s record(104), highest number of screens for a Tamil film in USA! MM Media has already booked 90+ screens. Ayngaran releasing Kaththi in 26 cinemas ( count to be increased) in France. Malaysia screen count is 120 as of now. Ayngaran Canada to release Kaththi in 20 screens, that will mark the highest South Indian film release in Canada. Overall the screen counts (subject to change) reached around 900 so far. So its all set for Kaththi for a grand Diwali release.
