JD Chakravarthy, one of Ram Gopal Varma’s favorite actors, will reportedly play a prominent role in Rajinikanth’s upcoming film with director Pa. Ranjith. The team has approached him and is waiting for the final confirmation which is likely to be affirmative.

The pooja for the film is expected to happen in a week and the team will fly down to Malaysia for the first schedule in August first week. Other members in the supporting cast include Attakathi Dinesh and Madras Kalaiarasan.

Radhika Apte’s name was also doing rounds for an important role but nothing has been confirmed yet. Also, rumors were rife since last evening that the film has been tentatively titled ‘Kaali’.
