Rajinikanth-Ranjith film marks ‘Dot’ to Haji Mastan controversy
Last time, when Rajinikanth and Pa Ranjith teamed up ‘Kabali’, there were high intensity rumours that the movie is based on the life of a don from Chennai, who went to Malaysia fighting for their rights. Apparently , this time with the duo coming together again for a film produced by Dhanush under the banner Wunderbar Films, there turned to be hyper sensitivity with buzzes claiming that it could be a film based on the life of Late Haji Mastan, one of the most dreaded dons of Mumbai. Recently, his step-son had warned Superstar Rajinikanth through an official letter that he would be facing dire consequences if the film portrays Haji Mastan in a bad light. With the situations getting worse day by day, Wunderbar Films has released an official note citing that there is no truth about the script based on the life Haji Mastan. “It’s a film interwoven with the fictional tale against the backdrops of Mumbai and has nothing to do with the concerned individual. Hope this puts an end to this issues,” reads press release.
