Two days after the sparking issue over political parties and film industry getting enraged, these stars have exhibited a strong gesture of support for this film. Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan watched the film at same time and immediately gave their strong support for a solid content.

Rajinikanth happened to watch the film at his residence while Kamal Haasan managed to make time along with the ‘Mersal’ team that includes Vijay, Atlee and Sri Thenandal Films’ producers. Superstar Rajinikanth tweeted on his micro-blogging page saying, “Important topic addressed. Well done! Congratulations team #Mersal” (Sic). It is worth mentioning that Kamal Haasan was one among the early ones to comment on this ‘Mersal’ issue over his micro-blogging page.
