S P Jaganathan’s upcoming project after critically acclaimed films like Eyarkai, E and Peraanmai is Purampokku. Actor Vijay Sethupathi starring with Arya for the first time in Purampokku . Actor Shaam is also playing in an important role. Actress Karthika introduced in “Ko” movie will be casting the heroine role.

The movie is said to be a political based action thriller where Arya acting as a financial adviser and as a person evolving in social activities and Vijay Sethupathi a railway daily coolie. Varshan is composing the music while Ekambaram is the cinematographer and V.T. Vijayan is the editor of the film.

UTV and S. P. Jananathan’s Binary Picutres combined in producing the film. Producer Dhananjayan revealed through his twitter handle about Purampokku audio, first look and movie release plans. He has announced that the movie will be released on January next year and the audio will be released in grand manner on November third week. He also mentioned that the movie will not have any clash with the movies scheduled for January 2015 and will have solo release, team will decide the date later.
