Vishal teamed up with director Hari, who is best known for his high voltage action entertainers like ‘Singam’, for the movie, ‘Poojai’. Shruti Haasan is the heroine in this film. Satyaraj to play as a powerful bad cop.Yuvan Shankar Raja has scored the music and the film also stars Abhinaya, Kowsalya and Radhika. Poojai is expected to release over 350 screens in Tamil Nadu.

The film will be Vishal’s second release of the year after ‘Naan Sigappu Manithan’. Last Diwali, Vishal’s “Pandiya Naadu” competed against Ajith’s ‘Arrambam’. Despite the clash, the Vishal starrer fared well at the box office and this Diwali, the actor’s film will be locking horns with Vijay’s ‘Kaththi’.

Poojai is directed by Hari, whose last release ‘Singam 2’ turned out to be a huge hit. The director is known for making fast-paced action entertainers and looking at the teaser of Poojai, one can expect it to be a complete commercial potboiler.

The Telugu version of Poojai is also expected to release simultaneously with the Tamil version. Vishal’s films enjoy a decent market in Telugu-speaking regions. Vishal, who has also produced the film under Vishal Film Factory, has announced that the film will be released in nearly 500 theaters in Andhra and it’s his biggest release this date.
