Pa Ranjith slams Salman Khan’s Tiger Zinda Hai at IFFI

Critically acclaimed filmmaker Pa. Ranjith had openly vented out his infuriation at IFFI in Goa, where his production ‘Pariyerum Perumal BA BL’ was screened. There was a huge reception for the film, where there were main chants like ‘Jai Bhim’ as he addressed the crowd. Although it was a moment of cloud nine, there was a kind of allegations put forth by Pa. Ranjith. He openly said, “When a film like Salman Khan’s Tiger Zinda Hai has been selected for the screening, why not Kaala. In fact, this Hindi film didn’t even get any critical acclaims, but Kaala had made it through a commendable zone of appreciations.

Pariyerum Perumal has its premise set against the backdrops of a Southern Tamil Nadu territory, where an aspiring law student from a community is being oppressed and humiliated by the upper-class community.

Will he survive their subjugations and fulfill his dreams forms the crux of the story.
