Oh My Kadavule grosses double the production cost

Ashok Selvan as an actor and producer along with his sister Abhinaya can rejoice now. Of course, it’s a second victory after ‘Ratsasan’ for producer G. Dilli Babu of Axess Film Factory as well. Their recent production ‘Oh My Kadavule’, which hit screens as Valentine Day treat has made a wowing box office collection. Moreover, the film actually equally the production cost even before the release without including the theatrical collections. Zee Group has acquired the satellite and OTT rights of this film for a whopping price of Rs. 3.5 Crore and Telugu remake rights has been clasped by Dil Raju for Rs 1.5Cr.

Interestingly, the industry sources have mentioned that by end of 10-day run, the film has grossed with 6.75 Cr in Tamil Nadu alone. The film got released in Kerala a week later after its Tamil Nadu theatrical release. Henceforth, the ROI and overseas box office collection is yet to be accounted. In this aspect, OMK has earned the producers with Rs. 11.75 as of now. Guess, what was the total budget of the film including the publicity and promotions? It was Rs. 5 Crore.
