Official – Vijay Sethupathi’s Seethakaathi release on December 20

Vijay Sethupathi starrer Seethakaathi was supposed to get released on November 16. Nevertheless, with Vijay’s Sarkar faring well with repeat audiences, the makers had decided to push the release to some other date. Now it has been officially confirmed that the film will be hitting screens on December 20 for the Christmas holiday. It is worth mentioning that Karthi’s Dev and Nayanthara starrer Airaa are being planned for the same occasion.

Seethakaathi is based on the life of a 75-yr old Drama Artist. Moreover, Vijay Sethupathi openly admitting that he would be appearing for just 40 minutes has created huge excitements upon the film. The film is directed by Balaji Tharaneetharan and is produced by Passion Studios with Remya Nambeesan, Parvathi, Archana, Gayathri, Mahendran, Bharathiraja and few more prominent actors being a part of it. The film has musical score by Govind Vasantha, who shot to fame with his musical score in ‘96’.
