Niharika signs Vijay Sethupathi-Gautham Karthik film

Recently, there was surprising news that Vijay Sethupathi is joining the untitled film of Gautham Karthi, directed by debut filmmaker Aarumuga Kumar. The film is touted to be a fantasy adventure comedy set against the backdrops of forest. It was mentioned that the story revolves around couple of college friends who embark on a journey into the forest for adventure and end up in a different world.

There were some reports that talks are going on with a leading hero to play the other protagonist’s role and then it was confirmed with Vijay Sethupathi. While there were high considerations for the female lead role, the makers have finalized Niharika Konidela, who shot to fame with her Telugu debut ‘Oka Manasu’. She has already started shooting for this film soon after the signing on the dotted lines.
