Mani Ratnam’s Thug Life runtime and sudden decision

Maniratnam’s multi-starrer ‘Thug Life’ starring Kamal Haasan, Silambarasan TR and Trisha in the lead roles is on its final stages of postproduction. The film is all set for the worldwide theatrical release on June 5. During this moment, it is learnt through the confidential sources that the film’s runtime is almost 4 hours, and the process of trimming them down is happening in full swing.

Since Maniratnam doesn’t want to create unwanted 2-part movie franchise, he is sure on getting it done as a single movie. Although Kamal Haasan is the protagonist of this film, Silambarasan TR has more prominence in this movie. KH has reportedly insisted Mani Ratnam not to delete any portions of Silambarasan.
