“Mani Ratnam never narrates me the script” – AR Rahman

With the duo’s ‘Kaatru Veliyidai’ hitting screens on this Friday (April 7). Mani Ratnam and AR Rahman have been consistently promoting the film with their interviews.

During one such interaction, AR Rahman was asked if Mani Ratnam would completely narrate him the script before getting the music. AR Rahman came up with a surprising news saying, “Most of the times, he never narrates me the story, especially for Kaatru Veliyidai. He just briefs me about the situations and themes. The songs like ‘Vaan’ and ‘Nallai Allai’ happened this way.”
