Dhanush’s last year release ‘Maari’ had mixed reviews witnessed, but somehow managed to spin up some decent collections. While a film doesn’t work out best results, the makers would really get their interest dropped, but Dhanush being a confident producer-actor was keen on getting the things in right place as he believed a lot on this project. According to the sources, Balaji Mohan has now completed working on the script and is going through the final works for ‘Maari 2’. In fact, Dhanush has earlier mentioned that they are making best modifications avoiding the errors they committed in the first part and would rectify it with sequel.

Now Dhanush is planning to complete Vada Chennai by end of this year and during the interim will try to complete pending portions of Gautham Vasudev Menon’s Ennai Nokki Paayum Thotta. Meanwhile, we need to wait and watch how Dhanush manages to streamline Karthik Subbaraj’s untitled and Maari 2. But for now, it looks like Maari 2 will start rolling from January 2017.
