Karthi is ready with his next project KOMBAN, the actor is riding high after the success of his latest outing MADRAS. Film stars Karthi and Lakshmi Menon in the leading roles with G. V. Prakash Kumar composing the film’s music.

Komban is directed by M.Muthaiah whose earlier venture was Kuttipuli. This film features Karthi in a rural based role for the second time following his debut film Paruthiveeran. Music composer G V Prakash is very positive about the album which will be releasing very soon. This is his third collaboration with Karthi, after Aayirathil Oruvan (2010) and Saguni (2012). After Veyil and Aadukalam another raw rural folk in GVP’s music library.

Cinematography by Velraj and Editing is taken care by Praveen K.L. Komban is produced by Karthi’s relative and a successful production company Studio Green. Film also has actors Rajkiran, Kovai sarala,Super Suburayan,karunas and Thambi Ramayya. The film is among the first to be shot in the remote and tough terrain of Ramanathapuram and for the song shoots too, the unit picturised in same locations to keep the realistic feel intact.

The special feature of the film is that no sets have been put up and everything has been shot on live locations in the area. Latest update about the movie is that it joins the Pongal releases along with I, Yennai Arinthal, KaakiSattai and Aambala. Team is gearing up for the audio release and trailer release.
