Kerala CM’s humble request through Karthi

Actor Karthi was present this afternoon (August 16) at Trivandrum to meet the honourable Chief Minister of Kerala Shri Prajayin Vijayan. A check amount of 25,00,000 on behalf of himself and his brother-actor Suriya was donated for the Kerala Distress Relief Fund. In addition, Karthi also took forward the sum of 5L contribution from Nadigar Sangam and handed over the check to honorable CM.

During this juncture, CM made a humble request asking the donors to make monetary contribution rather than relief materials. This is because; the transportations are completely stalled due to the ravaging downpour of flood out there. The situation is getting worsened as Cochin airport will remain closed till August 26 as in accordance to Red Alert situation.

Earlier this morning, actor Karthi also met Mohanlal to donate the check of Rs. 10L that Suriya had promised to donate during the anniversary celebration of AMMA.
